Job Description

Responsibilities
 Determining the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
 Advising customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests.
 Inspecting customers’ premises to identify pest problems.
 Communicating with office staff in order to schedule services with customers.
 Applying suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
 Responding to customers’ requests for various pest control services.
 Adjusting chemical mixtures according to the size of the infested areas.
 Spray or dust chemical solutions, powders, or gases into rooms, onto clothing, furnishings or wood, and over marshlands, ditches, and catch-basins.
 Set mechanical traps and place poisonous paste or bait in sewers, burrows, and ditches.
 Inspect premises to identify infestation source and extent of damage to property, wall and roof porosity, and access to infested locations.
 Cut or bore openings in building or surrounding concrete, access infested areas, insert nozzle, and inject pesticide to impregnate ground.
 Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
 Direct a assist other workers in treatment and extermination processes to eliminate and control rodents, insects, and weeds.
 Measure area dimensions requiring treatment, using rule, calculate fumigant requirements, and estimate cost for service.
 Clean and remove blockages from infested areas to facilitate spraying procedure and provide drainage, using broom, mop, shovel, and rake.
 Position and fasten edges of tarpaulins over building and tape vents to ensure air-tight environment and check for leaks.
 Post warning signs and lock building doors to secure area to be fumigated.
 Drive truck equipped with power spraying equipment.
 Dig up and burn, or spray weeds with herbicides.
 Provide assistance to supervisor in planning new installation and modification projects, preparation of specification, and major projects, applying knowledge of pest control
 Provide assistance to colleagues in the department to effectively maintain, and repair equipment, buildings, and municipal properties
 Provide support after work hour if required in situations like emergency, workshop, commission meetings, and other company functions
 Perform related duties that may be assigned.

Candidate Requirements

Requirements
 High school diploma or GED.
 Proven pest control experience.
 Licensed to perform pest control.
 The ability to work in all weather conditions.
 Exceptional customer service skills.
