Main responsibilities: Ensure all aspects of running the farm are met, maintain safe working practices, manage and motivate team and ensure welfare of livestock at all times.
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) day to day management of chickens.
Monitoring bird performance.
Barn setup and barn clean-out and disinfection.
Operating equipment (mainly loader and tractor).
As well as facility and equipment maintenance.
Experience in the field of animal husbandry is desirable.
A Bachelor Degree in Agriculture a extensive related experience is an asset.
Available to work overtime during heavy workload periods.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years industry experience.
Mechanically inclined with strong problem solving skills.
Self-motivated, reliable and able to work in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
