QC Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage quality control, assurance and accountability program by studying, planning, monitoring and conducting inspections at all stages - drawings, inspection test plan, weld map, preparation of material inspection, final visual and dimensional and paint inspections.
• Monitor welding activities as per the Quality Control Plan, weld map, and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) specifications approved by the clie inspection agencies.
• Prepare welding procedure specifications (WPS) and qualify procedure qualification record (PQR) accordance with the client requirements for welding of SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW and FCAW.
• Verify and monitor welding consumable control as per approved procedure before and after the welding activities.
• Execute welder qualification test (WQT) as per approved WPS before hiring and assigning of Welders into the project.
• Provide the required training and mentoring to the Welde Operators for their continuous support and development.
• Ensure the availability of welding consumable stocks in the store at all times.
• Conduct periodic inspections on the workshop floor to ensure the quality of welder’s performance.
• Arrange calibration and maintenance of welding and inspection equipment.
• Participate in reviewing pre-qualifications of the vendor, method statement and quality control procedures as per client specification.
• Develop and implement welding procedures in accordance with the project specification, quality control practices, and quality standard requirements.
• Prepare related documentation for quality control as per approved ITP.
Performs other functions in line with the position as required by the Superior.
Qualification:
With excellent education background - B. Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineeri Engineering
Welding Inspector Certification of Proficiency is mandatory
Certification in NDT and painting proficiency qualification
Proven minimum of 5 years of in-depth working experience in Quality Assurance and Control; working experience of 5 years in Welding, Fabrication, Testing, etc.
Competencies in Planni and Optimization
Good Verbal and Written Communications
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other project control programs including F, etc.
Close coordination with client in the execution of works like RFI, procedure, approval, communication, and documents
Bahrain Driving license
