Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MEP Procurement Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the real estate or construction sectors, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Dubai or the Gulf countries. This role involves managing procurement processes, vendor relations, and contract negotiations to support our ongoing and upcoming real estate projects, with a particular focus on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and civil works procurement.
Responsibilities
•Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
•Reviewing the specifications and quantities of the requested materials to ensure compliance with project requirements and providing final approval.
•Manage the entire procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
•Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in compliance with project schedules and budgets.
•Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and supplier performance.
•Conduct market research to stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies in the construction, MEP, and real estate sectors.
•Collaborate with project managers and other department heads to ensure coordination and optimal support.
•Oversee procurement specifically for MEP and civil works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
•Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, specifically in construction industry in Dubai or other Gulf countries.
•Proven expertise in MEP and civil works procurement.
•Possesses practical executive experience related to construction projects and the various applications of materials.
•Strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE.
•Proven track record of managing significant budgets and achieving cost reductions while maintaining quality.
•Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
•Proficient in MS Office and relevant procurement software.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
