Provide overall direction and guidance in smooth and effective running of chemical plants.
Supervise work of chemical plant operations to achieve quality of work. Coordinate with Shift Charge Engine during unit start-up, shutdown and normal running of the plant and maintain the chemistry under his control in round the clock shift.
Make preparation and carry out the acid cleaning of Desalination plants and hypo plants under the supervision of Chief Chemist whenever required.
Follow-up the annual maintenance of chemical plants. Carry out trouble shooting in chemical plants and to follow day-to-day maintenance as per defect reports.
Maintain chemical consumption records.
Monitor all chemical parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activiti that took place during his shift in the log book.
Prepare monthly reports and other reports pertaining to area under his supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
