Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Storekeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our store, managing inventory, and ensuring that products are stored, organized, and distributed appropriately. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments of goods, verifying quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders.
Unload, unpack, and inspect items, ensuring they are free from damage and defects.
Label and tag products with identifying information, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and storage locations.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies using inventory management software or manual tracking systems.
Organize and store products in designated areas, ensuring proper storage conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to prevent shortages and stockouts.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and address issues related to orders or shipments.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with records and identify discrepancies.
Prepare and package products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
Previous experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or inventory controller preferred.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately record and track inventory.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with suppliers, vendors, and team members.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to storage and handling of goods.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
