As a Wait at our establishment, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate should be friendly, attentive, and able to anticipate and meet the needs of our patrons. This position involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
Take accurate and detailed orders from customers.
Order Processing:
Input orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately and promptly.
Ensure timely communication of orders to the kitchen staff.
Food and Beverage Service:
Serve food and beverages to guests according to established standards.
Monitor and fulfill customer needs during the dining experience.
Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Table Maintenance:
Set up tables with appropriate utensils and condiments before service.
Clear and clean tables efficiently after guests have finished their meals.
Reset tables for the next guests.
Billing and Payment:
Present bills to customers and process payments accurately.
Handle cash and provide correct change when required.
Upselling and Specials:
Promote daily specials and upsell additional menu items or beverages.
Encourage guests to participate in loyalty programs or promotions.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other waitstaff to ensure smooth service.
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Hygiene and Cleanliness:
Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Previous experience as a wait is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle high-stress situations and long periods of standing.
Basic math skills for processing orders and handling payments.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
