The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of air-conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The technician ensures that AC units operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, maintain, and repair split AC, package AC, central AC, and other cooling systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot AC faults and identify the cause of system failures.
Check and repair compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, capacitors, contactors, and other components.
Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, and pressure testing.
Clean and maintain filters, coils, drain lines, condenser and evaporator units.
Carry out preventive maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans.
Inspect electrical connections, control systems, and wiring.
Test AC systems after repair or installation to ensure proper operation.
Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and work completion reports.
Follow company safety procedures and applicable technical standards.
Respond to emergency AC breakdowns and service requests when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other technicians.
ITI, Diploma, or technical qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience as an Technician is an advantage.
Good knowledge of AC electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC equipment independently.
Knowledge of refrigerant systems and safe refrigerant handling.
Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined areas.
UAE experience and a valid driving license are an advantage.
