Job Summary
The Estimator & Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, rate analysis, and cost control for civil and interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and coordination with project teams, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
•Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil and interior works from drawings and specifications.
•Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for tendering, procurement, and project execution.
•Conduct rate analysis, material estimation, and cost breakdown for all activities.
•Prepare cost estimates for new tenders, variations, and change orders.
•Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotation comparison and price finalization.
•Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and monitoring project expenses.
•Review drawings, specifications, and contract doents to identify scope gaps.
•Support project managers in value engineering and cost optimization.
•Prepare and submit monthly cost reports, cash flow statements, and cost updates.
•Evaluate claims, variations, and final accounts.
•Attend site visits to verify quantities, progress, and actual work executed.
•Maintain updated records of all estimation and quantity survey doents.
Required Skills
•Strong knowledge of civil & interior fit-out materials, methods, and standards.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software
•Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
•Good communication and negotiation skills.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
•Attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
•Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
•2–5 years of experience in civil and interior estimation or quantity surveying.
•Experience in U fit-out projects (preferred).
Working Conditions
•Office-based with regular site visits.
•Must be able to meet tender deadlines and handle multiple projects.
