The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing civil construction activities at project sites, ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities at the project site.
Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Monitor site progress and ensure work is completed within the approved schedule.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, and workers.
Review drawings, technical doents, and project specifications.
Conduct site inspections and ensure proper execution of civil works.
Check levels, dimensions, alignment, concrete works, block works, plastering, waterproofing, and other civil activities.
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship.
Prepare daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and other project doentation.
Coordinate material requirements and ensure materials are available on site when required.
Identify site problems and coordinate appropriate technical solutions.
Assist with quantity measurements, material estimates, and variations.
Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and applicable UAE construction standards.
Monitor subcontractors and ensure their work meets project requirements.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, and required actions.
Coordinate testing and inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the site.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Relevant experience in civil construction and site supervision.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of surveying, leveling, concrete, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage site workers and subcontractors effectively.
Good knowledge of MS Office and construction-related software.
UAE construction experience is preferred.
UAE driving license is an advantage.
