FM Assistant Engineer – Role & Responsibilities
FM (Facilities Management) Assistant Engineer supports the smooth operation and maintenance of a building or facility.
Technical Responsibilities
Assist in HVAC, Chiller, Electrical, Plumbing, and MEP systems
Monitor BMS (Building Management System)
Handle preventive & corrective maintenance
Troubleshoot basic mechanical & electrical faults
Support installation, testing, and commissioning works
Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
Site & Team Support
Supervise technicians and subcontractors
Coordinate daily maintenance activities
Attend breakdown calls and emergency issues
Follow up on AMC and vendor works
Doentation & Compliance
Maintain maintenance reports, logs, and checklists
Ensure H compliance
Support authority inspections (DM, SIRA, Civil Defence)
Assist in audits and snag-list closures
Client & Management Coordination
Update Facilities Manager / Engineer
Coordinate with clients, tenants, and building management.
Support budgeting, material requests, and work orders.
Skills Required
Knowledge of HVAC & FM operations
Basic understanding of MEP systems
BMS awareness
Team supervision skills
Good communication & reporting
UAE FM experience (preferred)
