The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The technician diagnoses system issues, performs preventive maintenance, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system problems.
Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.
Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Communicate with customers regarding repairs, maintenance, and system recommendations.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
