Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our manufacturing facility in SAIF Zone. The ideal candidate will manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and maintaining rigorous control over receivables and cash flow.
As we operate within a Designated Zone, a deep understanding of free zone accounting and tax treatment for manufacturing is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping: Manage end-to-end accounting functions, including , General Ledger, and monthly closing and bookkeeping or filing of doents.
VAT & Compliance: Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns. Ensure all VAT and "Designated Zone" transactions are recorded accurately per FTA guidelines.
Receivables & Credit Control: Actively follow up with customers for outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
PDC Management: Maintain a precise tracker in Excel for Post-Dated Cheques Received (PDCR) and Post-Dated Cheques Provided (PDCP) and other related requirements.
Audit Liaison: Assist the Internal Auditor during periodic site visits and lead the preparation of schedules and doentation for the Annual External Audit.
Management Reporting: Prepare week aging reports for senior management.
Manufacturing Oversight: Monitor inventory accounting related to raw materials (non-woven fabric, chemicals) and finished wet wipe products.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of core accounting experience strictly within the UAE.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (Orison financial and Zoho books).
VAT Expertise: Strong knowledge of UAE VAT Law; specific experience with Designated Zone accounting is a significant advantage.
Communication: Professional fluency in English with the ability to follow up firmly yet politely with clients.
Location: Ability to work on-site in SAIF Zone, Sharjah.
