We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Gypsum Carpenter to join our team, an interior design and fit-out works company. As a Gypsum Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of gypsum board and related structures to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut gypsum boards to fit specific dimensions and layouts.
- Install gypsum boards on walls, ceilings, and partitions with precision and attention to detail.
- Create custom gypsum board designs, arches, and other intricate patterns as per project requirements.
- Finish gypsum board surfaces by sanding, sealing, and applying decorative finishes such as paint or wallpaper.
- Repair damaged or faulty gypsum board installations as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Gypsum Carpenter or similar role in the construction or interior design industry.
- In-depth knowledge of gypsum board installation techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and fitting gypsum boards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and project stakeholders.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work with heavy materials and perform tasks requiring manual labor.
