Job Overview
The Interior Designer Client-Facing Manager will play a crucial role in managing client relationships while overseeing design projects from conception to completion. This position involves liaising with clients to understand their vision, communicating with design teams, and ensuring that projects meet client expectations in terms of budget, schedule, and aesthetics. The role requires both design knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to handle project timelines, negotiations, and problem-solving with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the design process.
- Understand client needs and preferences, translating them into actionable design briefs for the design team.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and site visits to ensure project alignment with client vision and expectations.
- Manage client feedback, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with the final deliverables.
2. Project Coordination & Oversight:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop design concepts that align with client goals and budget.
- Coordinate project timelines, ensuring milestones are met, and communicating any changes or delays to the client.
- Oversee budgeting and invoicing processes, working closely with finance teams to ensure transparency and accuracy in project costs.
- Ensure all client deliverables, from mood boards to final installations, are completed on time and within scope.
3. Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Lead a team of interior designers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality design solutions.
- Facilitate communication between design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Mentor junior designers, helping them develop client-facing skills and design proficiency.
4. Design Expertise:
- Review and approve design concepts and presentations before presenting them to clients.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative design solutions to clients.
- Ensure that designs adhere to relevant building codes and regulations.
5. Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution:
- Handle project challenges, such as delays, budget overruns, or design
