1–3 years of hands-on network experience (internship, NOC, helpdesk-with-networking-exposure, or junior engineer role all count)
Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals: T, VLANs, routing basics, firewall concepts, VPN technologies (IPsec/SSL)
Some exposure to enterprise networking gear — Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto (certifications a plus, not required)
Comfortable working with tickets, doentation, and change-control processes — this isn't a "just make it work" environment
CCNA (or actively studying for one) is a strong plus
Clear communicator — you'll be working directly with senior engineers and occasionally briefing clients' IT teams during onboarding
Genuine interest in security and compliance-driven environments; willingness to learn DE frameworks on the job
