Position: Pipe Fabricator Welder
Experience Required: Minimum 4–5 years in fabrication and welding for water pumping systems manifolds, spools, pump skids, tanks, structural frames, pipe supports, and custom assemblies based on producti drawings provided from engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
•Fabricate MS (Mild Steel), CS (Carbon Steel), and SS (Stainless Steel) piping—Sch 40 & Sch 80—per producti drawings.
•Weld and assemble components for pumping systems including manifolds, pipe spools, tanks, frames, pipe racks, and structural supports.
•Execute ARC, TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding for pipe and plate materials in pressure and non-pressure applications.
•Interpret and work accurately from isometric drawings, fabrication sketches, and welding symbols.
•Perform fit-up, alignment, and tack welding of flanges, elbows, reducers, and manifolds.
•Conduct hydro and pneumatic pressure testing of completed pipe systems and assemblies.
•Ensure fabrication work meets dimensional and quality tolerances as per QHSE standards.
Technical Skills Required:
•Expertise in welding MS, CS, and SS pipes and structural steel components.
•Proficient in ARC, TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding methods.
•Experience in fabrication of manifolds, spools, tanks, skids, and heavy-duty supports for pumping systems.
•Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication and layout drawings.
•Skilled in grinding, cutting, and using pipe fabrication equipment.
•Knowledge of WPS compliance and procedures in fabrication workshops.
Qualifications:
•ITI / Diploma in Welding, Pipe Fabrication, or Mechanical Trade.
•Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on fabrication experience in mechanical piping and structural assembly for water or industrial projects.
Other Requirements:
•Ability to work in both workshop and project site environments.
•Strong safety awareness and adherence to fabrication shop HSE rules.
•Team player with good work ethic and attention to detail.
