Job Overview:
To prepare, coordinate, and monitor a project, from the initial conception to the schedule and final completion. Involved with the planning and forecasting of budgets and timelines to assure that the project is accurately completed to schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality, planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final delivery
•Drive the project from start to end based on time schedule, budget and quality
•Study project doentation like project specifications, SOW, AVL, client requirements and inquiry doents
•Plan project requirements and resources, including the sourcing of sub-contractors
•React promptly and effectively to changing client and product needs
•Monitoring and control all assigned projects by crating and updating required doentation and create recovery plan when and where required
•Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions
•Co-Ordination with Design department on variation cost where changes in specifications / quantity / reworks
•Track customer changes in terms drawings, specifications, quantity and reworks
•Maintain ISO and minimum required standard doentation related to project management
•Raise timely and correct purchase requisitions on Project management system ( ERP )
•Apply specific technical skills as required to support the customer or colleagues
•Write proposals and reports with all necessary backup material
•Contribute to continuous improvement activities
•Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
•Support and lead process improvement activities
•Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients
•Estimate budgets and manpower required for projects
•Achieve goals within budget and target dates
•Produce written reports and make presentations
•Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
•Maintain doentation related to projects assigned and updating ERP System on daily basis
Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Engineering- Mechanical
•At least 6- 10 years relevant experience in a project role in Sheet metal fabrication or related industry
•Well versed with 2-D CAD
•Project Scheduling, MS Project / Primavera
•Team Player
•Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
•Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
•Strong report writing skills
•Experience of working in a multicultural project team
•Engineering and Procurement experience
•Excellent oral and written communication
