Key Responsibilities:
•Welding and Fabrication:
oPerform TIG and MIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, for marine vessel construction and repair.
oFabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, and components based on blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
oEnsure all welds meet industry standards and quality specifications.
•Repair and Maintenance:
oRepair damaged or worn-out metal parts and structures on ships, boats, and other marine vessels.
oConduct regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
oInspect welded surfaces and structures to identify any defects or weaknesses.
•Safety and Compliance:
oAdhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
oFollow maritime industry standards and codes for welding practices.
oMaintain detailed records of welding work, including materials used, techniques applied, and time spent on each task.
•Collaboration and Communication:

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:
•Education:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent.
oCompletion of a welding apprenticeship or vocational training program in T welding.
•Experience:
oPrevious experience as a welder, preferably in a marine environment.
oHands-on experience with TIG and MIG welding processes and techniques.
•Skills:
oProficiency in TIG and MIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
oAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
oStrong understanding of welding principles, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
oExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
oGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Certifications:
