Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing areas prior to tile installation.
Measure and mark surfaces according to layout plans and design specifications.
Cut tiles using hand tools, power tools, and tile-cutting machines to achieve necessary shapes and sizes.
Install tiles using appropriate adhesives, mortars, and grout materials.
Apply grout, sealants, and finishing materials to create a durable and polished look.
Ensure tile alignment, spacing, and patterns are precise and consistent.
Repair or replace broken or damaged tiles when necessary.
Mix and apply mortar, cement, and other bonding materials.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to project timelines.
Collaborate with contractors, designers, and other trades as required.
Proven experience as a tile mason or similar masonry role.
Strong knowledge of various tile materials and installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
Proficiency in using tile cutters, grinders, and other related tools.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of construction safety procedures.
