Job Overview:
We are seeking friendly, energetic individuals to join our team as waite. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt service, accurate order taking, and a friendly attitude. You will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus and take orders accurately and efficiently.
Memorize menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies to provide accurate information to customers.
Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure all orders are prepared promptly and accurately.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Prepare and deliver checks to customers and process payments.
Clean and reset tables, refill water glasses, and ensure the dining area is tidy.
Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, such as answering phones, taking reservations, or delivering food to customers.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a wait or similar role in the hospitality industry preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
