Job Description
•Reading and understanding of the drawings.
•Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
•Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
•Grinding and buffing of parts (no rough edges) post punching and welding.
•Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the drawings.
•Maintenance of welding equipment and proper storage of the same.
Welders use a variety of skills to complete their jobs effectively, which can include:
•Ability to read and work according to the drawings.
•Working Experience in sheet metal Industry.
•Knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG / TIG / Grinding
•Enclosure Welding Ability is an advantage.
Requirements
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Ability to execute basic welding techniques
•Ability to read and follow a product data sheet, drawings, specs sheet, and other product informational material
•Familiarity with welding equipment and workshop safety protocols
