•Owns machine operation and output quality on every job run through the company's CNC, laser, and 3D-printing equipment, from setup through finished piece.
•Has real technical judgment within the brief — advising on toolpaths, material choice, settings, and feasibility rather than only executing files handed to them.
•Flags unworkable files or specs early, and proposes practical fixes rather than simply rejecting the job.
•Maintains machines, tooling, and the workshop floor in safe, production-ready condition, including maintenance logs and consumables tracking.
•Set up, calibrate, and operate the full range of fabrication equipment, matching machine and method to the job (CNC routi machines; Laser cutti machines; 3D printing machines).
•Translate design files and technical drawings into correct machine setup — toolpaths, c settings, material fixturing, and tolerances.
•Run test cu ahead of full jobs where needed, catching errors before material and time are wasted on a full run.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, material defects, and output errors, escalating what's beyond routine fixing.
•Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and consumable replacement (bits, lenses, filters, dust collection, print beds, etc.) to keep every machine production-ready.
•Follow and enforce safety protocols specific to each machine type — dust extraction, laser safety, fu purification, fire risk, and material-specific hazards.
•Track machine usage, job queues, and material consumption, feeding accurate status back to the Internal Production Manager and Head of Operations.
•Keep a working log of settings and recipes proven to work for recurring materia, so results are repeatable rather than re-solved each time.
